9/11 Remembered

Below is a link containing a poem I remember receiving after 9/11.  At the time, it was thought that this poem was written by Thich Nhat Hanh, but it was actually written by a couple who were inspired by Hanh’s writings. This poem has a new meaning for me now than it did when I first read it. Back then, it was consoling because the events of 9/11 were so traumatic, even though they didn’t touch me personally.  But now I am reminded that peace begins within one self.  As Gandhi said, we need to “…become the change we want to see in the world.”

Nine years later it still packs a punch…..
